Aemilia Vee is the heart and soul of Huile de Vee

Miss Vee

miss vee

Aemilia Vee is an international Greek; born and raised in Athens with experience throughout Europe and beyond. Home is currently London but her travel bug and friendships take her all over the world. Speaking four languages fluently, and more socially, she is known to all her friends simply as: Miss Vee.

The name Aemilia was handed down by three generations of women and is only outlived by the family olive groves that have been producing this exceptional premium extra virgin olive oil for over 200 years.

AN ANCIENT DELICATE PROCESS

Vee olives are of the 'Koroneiki' variety, a regional product that is renowned for its refined, superior quality olive oil of exceptional taste and minimal acidity. The olive trees are nurtured with traditional methods, following the natural cycle of olive production; resulting in Huile de Vee’s premium extra virgin olive oil.

history

Since ancient times, Messinia, located in the southwest Peloponnese, has been ideal for olive cultivation due to its climate, its close location to the sea and its soil composition. Huile de Vee’s olive groves are located in the village of Filiatra, a town off the Gulf of Kyparissia in Messinia.

cultivation

The family stems from an enterprising Scot, Anagnostis Spence, who moved to the area in the early 19th century and established a thriving regional presence that continues to this day. The olive grove cultivation is in the 5th generation of family farming and production.

harvest & PROCESSING

Huile de Vee has a deep green colour, it is full-flavoured with an aromatic yet floral nose and a harmoniously fruity and spicy aroma.

Throughout Messinia, Greece, olives are harvested between November and January. Huile de Vee olives are harvested manually so as not to bruise the fruit, which is transported within hours to a certified oil mill to be cold pressed immediately using traditional methods.

This guarantees the exceptional quality of Huile de Vee, which is stored in stainless steel tanks to ensure that there is no oxidisation. Oxidisation is measured in acidity; Huile de Vee has a constant acidity range of 0.3-0.5%.To maintain the ultimate freshness and purity of this premium extra virgin olive oil, Huile de Vee is not filtered whatsoever.

quality

Huile de Vee is of premium quality because it is a single source olive oil, not a blend of other olive oils of any other origin quality or olive variety.

The processing, standardisation, and the oil mill used by Huile de Vee are all certified by the ISO 22000-2005 Quality Assurance and ISO 9001-2000 Quality Assurance Rules.
